East London Boroughs and Neighbourhoods We Cover

East London runs from the edge of the City all the way to the Essex border, and the type of home changes almost station by station. These are the seven boroughs this page covers:

Tower Hamlets

Canary Wharf and the Isle of Dogs, Wapping, Limehouse, Whitechapel, Spitalfields, Bethnal Green, Bow and Mile End.

Hackney

Shoreditch, Hoxton, Dalston, Stoke Newington, Clapton, Homerton, London Fields and Hackney Wick.

Newham

Stratford, the Royal Docks, Canning Town, West Ham, Forest Gate, East Ham and Custom House.

Waltham Forest

Walthamstow, Leyton, Leytonstone, Highams Park and Chingford, on the edge of Epping Forest.

Redbridge

Ilford, Wanstead, Woodford, Gants Hill, Barkingside and Seven Kings.

Barking and Dagenham

Barking, Dagenham, Becontree and Chadwell Heath.

Havering

Romford, Hornchurch, Upminster, Harold Wood, Gidea Park and Rainham.

The City of London is on our Central London page, and Greenwich, Woolwich and the Greenwich Peninsula, just across the river, are on South East London.

Canary Wharf, Stratford and the Royal Docks

Many of East London’s newer homes are in apartment towers with a concierge or a security desk, and many visitors stay in hotels built for the business districts and exhibition halls. Three areas stand out:

Canary Wharf and the Isle of Dogs

Long days in finance and law often end late, and the last thing anyone wants afterwards is another journey. A massage in your apartment, booked for 9 or 10 pm, means you are in bed straight after.

Stratford and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park

The flats around Westfield Stratford City and East Village sit next to the London Aquatics Centre, the London Stadium and the Lee Valley VeloPark, so sports massage is a popular booking here.

The Royal Docks

ExCeL London draws exhibitors and visitors from all over the world, and London City Airport sits on the same stretch of water. A massage in your hotel room after a day standing on an exhibition stand is often the best part of the trip.

For any building with a concierge, put the building name, flat number and any visitor instructions in your booking message. Your therapist will sign in at the desk like any other visitor.

Massage at Home in Hackney, Walthamstow, Ilford and Romford

Further from the towers, East London is a city of terraces, conversions and suburban semis, and home massage fits easily into ordinary life here. Hackney and Walthamstow clients often book on weekday evenings after work; in Redbridge and Havering, where homes are larger and the drive to a central spa is long, weekend daytime bookings are common.

The Elizabeth line has made much of East London quicker to reach, with stations at Whitechapel, Canary Wharf, Custom House, Stratford, Forest Gate, Ilford and Romford, but the price you pay never depends on how far your therapist travels. A massage in Upminster costs the same as one in Shoreditch.

East London Massage FAQs

Can you come to my apartment in Canary Wharf?

Yes. Give us the building name, flat number and any concierge instructions when you book. Your therapist signs in at the desk like any other visitor, so let the concierge know you are expecting someone.

I am at ExCeL for an exhibition. Can you come to my hotel?

Yes. We visit hotels around the Royal Docks and across East London. Send the hotel name and room number, and book for whenever the show closes; we work 24 hours a day.

Do you cover Romford, Hornchurch and Upminster?

Yes. All of Havering is covered, along with Barking and Dagenham and Redbridge, at exactly the same prices as central East London.

Is a sports massage a good idea after a race at the Olympic Park?

A light, flushing session the same evening and a fuller one two to four days later usually works best. Our mobile sports massage page explains timing in detail.

My flat is small. Will a massage table fit?

The table needs about 3 m by 2.5 m of clear floor. In a smaller flat, moving a coffee table or a dining chair is usually enough. Send us a photo on WhatsApp if you are unsure.
